ANXIETY AND OCD THERAPY VIRTUALLY, and IN-person in OHIO
"The only way out is through." - Robert Frost
Deliberately confronting fear is often the gateway to immense growth. Whether dealing with obsessive fears, phobias, trauma, or other anxiety-driven conditions, exposure is a powerful tool for transformation. As an exposure therapist trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), I’ve witnessed firsthand how facing uncomfortable situations can break the cycle and create lasting change.
I am a clinical social worker specializing in the treatment of OCD and anxiety disorders. I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Akron in 2019 and have been providing individual and family therapy since 2020. My training includes advanced techniques in CBT, ERP, and the treatment of related conditions like body-focused repetitive behaviors, Body Dysmorphic Disorder, Hoarding, and PTSD. In addition to treating OCD and related disorders, I also help clients navigate life stressors and transitions.
I have extensive experience working with parents, spouses, and caregivers to reduce accommodation and enabling behaviors that perpetuate anxiety and OCD. My approach focuses on helping families implement effective strategies to support individuals in managing symptoms while fostering greater independence, distress tolerance, and resilience.
I am a professional member of the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF) and the National Association of Social Workers (NASW). Passionate about spreading accurate knowledge, I regularly offer presentations on OCD and related disorders. I am also an avid reader of the latest research to ensure I provide the most up-to-date and effective treatments.
As a clinician, my approach balances support and warmth with a gentle push to help you move through difficult emotions and take the next step in your healing journey.
When I'm not working, you can usually find me enjoying a cup of coffee or spending time with my black cat, who keeps things interesting around the house!
